Mt Camo Conquered!!!

Mt Camo is finally conquered! Yes, I've been to the top and back, and I just praise God that the trip is OVER! Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, ain't going back.

My brother loved it ( I think I would have threatened his life if he hadn't ). The body is Tunisian Simple Stitch and Purl Stitch, with a double crochet camo and black border. It was finished by Christmas, just didn't have a chance to post it.

I've gotta tell ya, I've never been so happy to be finished with something in my entire life!!! 9 months and 20 some skeins. I musta been crazy. Now the nut ( I mean darlin' ) wants a camo cardigan! Do I have stupid written on my forehead??? So I just said, "I don't know how to make clothing, honey." That should settle that.

Y'all be blessed!

Debi, hopped over from the knittingloomnewbies after seeing your post. Wow.. you look like you have been really busy!

I think you did a great job with your doilies by the way. I am the ONLY one in my whole family to crochet, knit, macrame. I taught myself back when I was a teen - I use to watch an elderly lady crochet with crochet cotton by the hour make doilies and edgings along handkerchiefs. Needless to say I have only kept 1 doily that I have ever made. I also have what is left of a doily that my maternal grandmother made that my mother gave to me. It is in really rough shape and it behoves me to "fix" it. This grandmother died when my mother was a young teen so I never got to know her however perhaps it was from her that I was able to pick up the crafts that I do. My mother however did make a "knitting spool" with 4 nails in a wooden spool - so when I seen just before Christmas at Walmart the "Knifty Knitter's" - I picked myself up the set. It was a breeze - took me back to the time I worked with the spool. Anyway -- I am 47, I work with developmentally disabled seniors. You and I can almost celebrate our Anniversaries together you got married exactly 1 week to the day prior from when I got married - we were married July 28th, 1979. I have the tendency to carry on, sorry.
