Gift For Lauren

Our temporary office manager will be leaving us next week to return to college life. She filled in for the summer until we could hire a permanent replacement. I've grown so fond of Lauren! She really brightened up the place with her fun, sweet spirit. This pillow is for her new dorm decor, which is black, white and red. It's made with LB Thick And Quick Chenille.

I'm afraid I'm going to cry and make an idiot of myself on her last day.

I've Been Tagged

Well, I've just discovered the Kimberly has tagged me! I'll get you girlfriend ;-)

id•i•o•syn•cra•sy - a structural or behavioral characteristic peculiar to an individual or group. Write down 5 of your own idiosyncrasies, then if you wish, tag 5 people.

1. I can't stand for the food on my plate to touch. My hubby says it all goes to the same place, but I say that I have to taste it before it gets there!

2. When I hang out with people of different countries or accents, I tend to pick up their accent quickly. I think it's annoying to my family.

3. I like the clothes in my closet to be separated according to season, style, and type.

4. I store my shoes in shoe boxes. Lots of shoe boxes!

5. I get really annoyed when my ink pens aren't where they're supposed to be! At work or home.That's a major irritation of mine!

Okay, I guess I'm not too weird. Now, for 5 more people. Hmmm...Randa, over at Crochet Craze;
Sally, at Whatcha Been Up To; Yarn Duck, at Waddlin Along; Squishybear , at Crafty Punk; and Jessi, at Addicted To Crochet. Hope y'all haven't been tagged yet. Have fun girlfriends!

Learning Thread

Britti requested this choker and cuff from the new book, Fun And Funky Crochet. Oh how I like thread!!! She's happy with the set, too. I used #10 thread for this project. There are 2 other choker patterns in the book that she wants next. I'm thrilled! That means a longer break from that camo afghan. YAY!

Twice Bitten!

It's official! I'm in love with dishcloths! This is my second attempt, using Crochet On The Double. The photos are front and back, with a solid cotton, and a varigated cotton. What fun it is to do quick projects!

1st Time Tester

Andrea from Crochetville was kind enough to let me test her Dog Bone Mat pattern! Of course, it doesn't look as great as hers, but I love it. She writes up an easy to read pattern. I used 2 skeins Mainstay, and 2 skeins Red Heart, combining to make 4 strands to crochet together. I think I may make myself a rug to match with my leftover yarn! Thanks Andrea!!!
